Item Description Pair of Rosewood Castanets (Item Code: CASR). Pair of rosewood castanets.2 5/8 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches long (6.75 x 9 cm). Two corded clam-shaped wooden clappers of rosewood, played in the palm of the hand. To play, hang them from your thumb so they rest in the palm of your hand. Then drum your fingers on the shell. We do not recommend them for beginners. Each set has a (M) male and (F) female castanet. The rosewood produces a slightly mellower tone than does the ebony. Storage bag included.
