They sometimes feature religious iconography; motifs and symbols, such as the Tibetan mantra Om mani padme hum, images of Buddhas, or the Ashtamangala (Eight Auspicious Signs). The bowls are made of Panchaloha: literally translated from Sanskrit as Five Metals. The metal alloys contain copper, tin, zinc, iron and other metals
